Indirect Water Bath Heaters
Indirect water bath heater is used to heat gases to prevent freezing due to pressure reduction, in the gas stations.
The main tank consists of a gas coil, a fire pipe and is connected to the expansion tank located above the main tank, filled with a mixture of water and glycol. The gas coil and fire tube are immersed in a mixture of water and glycol. When the torch is lit, the fuel gas burns with the air in the fire pipe and the combustion heat is transferred to the mixture of water and glycol, which causes the mixture to heat up. Cold gas is heated by flowing through the gas coil and receiving heat from a mixture of water and glycol and then exits.
This is an effective indirect means of heating gas.
There is also a safety system in place at all times which recognizes if there are any problems with the system and regulates the temperature of the gas at all times. This means that temperatures remain at the correct level for optimum performance and safety.
