Pig Launcher and Receiver Trap
In order to perform the desalination and inspection of the inner wall of the pipelines inspection pigs are used. these pigs can carry examine devices such as thickness gauge. The launcher Trap is usually used to send the inspection pig into the oil and gas pipeline, and the receiver trap is used to receive it after successful pig operation in the other side of the pipeline.
This equipment is usually installed and operated at the beginning and end of the pipelines. They provide inspection and cleaning operation with no need to interrupt the main flow of the fluid.
